Radeon Pro Vega II Duo. A new mining beast
The launch of the new Apple Mac Pro solutions showed has indeed chosen to continue the collaboration with AMD by offering two options that officially debut on the market.
The Radeon Pro Vega II and Radeon Pro Vega II Duo models GPU, on Vega GPUs built with 7-nanometer production technology, with 32 Gbytes of HBM2 memory versus 16 Gbytes combined with the Radeon VII card for desktop systems. For both cards, the GPU offers a total of 4,096 stream processors, with a peak clock frequency of 1.7 GHz and a bandwidth of video memory that reaches 1 TB / s for each GPU.
Unlike the Radeon VII card, the GPUs used in the Radeon Pro Vega II and Radeon Pro Vega II Duo cards implement all the 64 Compute Units present in the GPU, like the Vega 64 card built with 14-nanometer technology. For Radeon VII there are 60 active computer units, for a total of 3,840 stream processors.
The all-new Mac Pro is powered by 2nd generation Vega architecture, delivering cutting-edge memory bandwidth and compute performance essential for demanding artists and creative enthusiasts.
Preliminary mining test showed that the Radeon VII could go up to double a VEGA card, so where could flight this new amazing beast?
